Au coeur du Jardin
Our French garden in the beautiful Dordogne

Farm Blogs from Around the World
The purpose of this blog is to gather in one place the best farm blogs from around the world. Recommended farm blogs are asked to send a brief email (to info AT ianwalthew.com) about their farm and their blog, and to include their own recommended farm blogs. I then make a posting. If it gets any more complicated that that, then....well, the idea is that it doesn't get much more complicated than that.

"It's scary out there, man," Romero said, gesturing at a laptop as he sat in his apartment here, chain-smoking Marlboros. "There's just so much information, and it's absolutely uncontrolled. Half of it isn't even information. It's entertainment or opinion. I wanted to do something that would get at this octopus." 'INFORMATION EBRU' FROM THE VALLEY, COMPILED BY IAN WALTHEW.

Every day or every moment, one light, one emotion, a particular atmosphere in the Jardin de Marandon or elsewhere. From the gardens to the other landscapes, I'm trying to seize the bonds between these places. My photographs attempt to translate these soft sweet moments of transient happiness.

Climbing ladders, using power tools, leaving the door open and walking in the woods after dark. Whilst sticking peas up my nose.

Never happier than when outdoors after spending many years commuting on planes, trains and automobiles. Together with my wife Karen, I have lived in The Dordogne for five years.

This blog is a record of our life and venture in France. It also helps us to keep everyone up to date with our news, events and stories.
